href=\"#\">Depression<\/a><\/h1>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">If you are feeling depressed, it may be due to a nutrient deficiency. I personally believe that many mental health issues, as well as physical health problems, are caused by nutrient deficiencies or excessive oxidative stress. Both of these can be improved with a proper diet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Thiamine is crucial for energy metabolism. A lack of thiamine, DHA, and vitamin D have all been implicated as potential causes or contributing factors to depression. Therefore, you may be able to alleviate or even cure depression by taking the following supplements:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list nb-list list-bullet-style is-style-no-connection sm-palette-1 sm-color-signal-0\" style=\"--nb-list-start-at:NaN;--nb-list-items-count:1\" data-palette=\"1\" data-palette-variation=\"1\" data-color-signal=\"0\">\n<li class=\"\">Thiamine: 5-50 mg<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">DHA (from cold-pressed, hexane-free fish oil)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Vitamin D: 2,000-3,000 IU<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">However, it&#8217;s important to note that supplements only work to a small degree compared to food and sunlight. This is due to factors such as adulteration, poor activity of supplements, and the supplemental forms being less biocompatible with the body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Thiamine is generally found in high amounts in legumes and nuts, followed by grains. Teff is particularly high in thiamine compared to other grains. In fact, I often substitute 1\/4 cup or more of teff flour in baked goods. The amaranth in this recipe is another superfood, high in selenium, which is necessary for detoxification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">If your depression is not alleviated after three months of incorporating high-thiamine foods into your meals, consuming seafood, and spending committed time in the sunlight, you should consider beginning a detoxification process. I can personally guide you through a detoxification regimen, which, if done correctly, can lead to a cure, though it may take several years and a series of detoxifications. Your gut is your second brain and only by optimal gut functioning can you feel mentally stable and even full of joy when life is difficult. Imagine, not even getting depressed about a sad situation! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">In today&#8217;s world, with so many refined carbs found in commercial bread, tortillas, and baked goods, it is essential to make your own at home. Food manufacturing systems have replaced whole grains, which contain vital nutrients, with grains stripped of their bran, providing only empty calories that result in disease. Making baked goods at home may seem daunting and complex, but most recipes take only about 8 minutes to prepare. Some, like oatmeal wraps, take just 2 minutes to mix the ingredients. These wraps have a wonderful texture, develop a delightful sourdough flavor after a day, and are high in nutrients, including complete protein.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">The best thing about crepe recipes is their versatility. For example, raw fish contains anti-thiamine factors that break down thiamine, although cooking eliminates these compounds. Additionally, a high pH environment can accelerate thiamine breakdown and elimination. For example, a diet high in meat and processed foods increases pH of the body. You can do things like consume a beverage of baking soda lemon-aid to decrease the pH in your body. Polyhydroxyphenols found in certain foods, such as red cabbage, coffee, and tea, can inhibit thiamine uptake. Consequently, if you consume a high acid (animal product diet) or a large amount of polyphenols, a higher thiamine intake may be necessary to counteract reduced absorption (Kareem et al., 2023).<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\n\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div><\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-normal-font-size\"><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">These are not vegan as I designed them to be appropriate for a small child who is not taking supplements. If your oil ever smokes, it is bad, immediately take the pan off the heat for a few minutes.
